Great Barrier Reef is the largest reef system in the world and is located in the Coral Sea off the coast of Queensland in north-east Australia. The reef system comprises nearly 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometres and spread over an area of 133,000 square miles. Million Dollar Point is one of the most popular wreck dive sites in the world. It was formed after the end of the Second World War, when thousands of tons of US military equipment were dumped into the sea. Multitude of bulldozers, cranes, fork lifts, trucks and military vehicles as well as bound sheets of corrugated iron, unopened boxes of clothing and cases of Coca-Cola are left piled upon one another in what makes up a unique dive site today.
