Burapha Golf Club was once a members only club but has since opened its fairways to members of the public and you will be glad the owners made that decision. The 36 holes takes full advantage of the natural environment, encompassing palm trees, hills, lakes and local flora and fauna. Designed by American duo Gary Panks and David Graham, there are four sets of 9 holes to choose from, each offering different styles of golf, ranging from parkland to links.

An additional 15-minute drive from Pattaya centre, is Eastern Star Country Club and Resort. This course was established in 1992 and designed by famous golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr. Notable features include wide, gently undulating fairways, bunkers, lakes and palm trees. A very strategic course, well thought out and placed shots, will pay dividends on this golf course and its great value for money.

Designed by Nick Faldo & Desmond Muirhead, Emerald Golf Club was renovated in 2006 and this brought the course up to international standard. Situated in a jungle setting, Emerald Golf Club has some of the best holes in the Pattaya region and narrow fairways and well placed bunkers, mean an enjoyable yet challenging round of golf awaits.

Pattaya’s only Pete Dye designed golf course, is Khao Kheow. This 27-hole golf course, requires good shot making and strategic ball placement, to avoid the many water hazards. The greens are very undulating, meaning approach shots have to be well thought out, or putting can become a real test. Khao Kheow is definitely one of Pattaya’s top golf courses and in terms of value for money, is second to none.

Finally, Plutaluang Royal Thai Navy Golf Course is situated in a wooded valley, with a large natural reservoir, paving way for an abundance of wildlife. This is a completely natural golf course and offers some of the best holes of golf, anywhere in Asia. Narrow fairways, well protected greens and thick rough are the main features of Plutaluang and coming at such a low price for a round, it’s one of the best value golf courses in Pattaya.
