The Tidbinbilla Natural Reserve has fourteen habitats under protection. There are woodlands, wetlands, grasslands, dry forests, sub alpine areas and more. There are numerous programs meant to preserve certain threatened or endangered species, such as the Potros, wallabies and other macro pod species, the Northern Corroboree Frog, another endangered creature. The Southern Brush Tailed Rock Wallaby is one of the best successes for the natural reserve.
